Class reinforces real estate association’s commitment of professionalism and protection of the public
RALEIGH, NC – JUNE 11, 2008 – Shane Bull, a Triangle commercial real estate advisor and broker, recently completed the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® (NAR). The 2 ½-hour class was held on June 5 at the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtor’s (RRAR) office on 111 Realtors Way in Cary.
According to NAR’s website, the REALTORS® Code of Ethics is a promise to customers to provide honest and ethical treatment in all transaction-related matters. It is mandatory for REALTORS® to take the Code of Ethics orientation, as well as complete a refresher course every four years. The actual Code itself contains 17 Articles and was adopted in 1913, following the professions of medicine, law, and engineering.
REALTORS® continuously strive to become and remain informed on issues affecting real estate and their profession. Bull says that this class was extremely enlightening and will help him provide a higher level of service to his customers.
“The real estate industry is constantly evolving. With so much automation and electronic communication, it’s easy for customers to feel disenfranchised and disconnected,” says Bull. “The REALTORS® Code of Ethics reminds all real estate professionals why we chose this profession and reinforces our commitment to treat our customers with the respect, integrity, and decency they deserve. I’m proud of my accomplishment and look forward to continuing to give my clients the best customer service experience I can provide.”
REALTORS® are real estate professionals who have chosen to join the National Association and abide by its strict Code of Ethics. REALTORS® are subject to disciplinary action and sanctions if they violate the duties imposed by the Code of Ethics. For more information about NAR, visit www.realtor.org.

I’ve worked with real estate brokers all over the country, and it’s rare to find someone who actually listens to what the customer wants. Shane was attentive, courteous, and dedicated and provided us with a first-class experience. He sat down and heard what we needed and treated us fairly and honestly throughout the entire process. Being a broker is listening and knowing what you want. Shane is that kind of broker.
